It was Mooncatcher's first day of school. He arrived early because he did not want to be late.
But as he stood outside the big cave doors, Mooncatcher began to look very sad.
He feels nervous! Mooncatcher is big and scary-looking, and he has a very hard time making friends.
When school started, Mooncatcher sat by himself. His sharp claws made loud *clack-clack* noises. He tried to smile, but everyone just saw his big teeth.
Later, he noticed some smaller dragons trying to lift heavy magma-books. "Oh, these are too heavy!" they sighed. Mooncatcher wanted to help.
He walked over. Carefully, with just the very tip of his huge claw, he gently lifted all the heavy books at once. "I can help," he rumbled softly.
The smaller dragons looked surprised. Then, a small blue dragon smiled. "You aren't scary! You're super strong and nice!"
The small dragon asked Mooncatcher to play during recess. He had finally made his very first friend! Mooncatcher wasn't sad or nervous anymore.
